This 14-day Peru itinerary offers a complete experience. It begins with a city tour in Lima, followed by a visit to Paracas and Huacachina to explore the Ballestas Islands and practice sandboarding. Then, travel to Cusco to discover its historical attractions and the Sacred Valley, including Machu Picchu. Continue with the impressive Humantay Lagoon and the archaeological sites of Moray and Salineras. Enjoy the adventure on Rainbow Mountain before heading to Puno for the Ruta del Sol and the Floating Islands of the Uros. Upon arrival in Lima we will be waiting for you to be taken to your hotel. In the afternoon 2:30 pm. We will take the City Tour in Lima in which we will have a panoramic view of the Pucllana Pyramid, then the Banco Central de Reservas Museum and its Treasures of Peru collection and we continue with the walking visit to the Plaza Mayor of Lima and surroundings and to finish the Catacombs of Lima return to your hotel, in short, we will get to know the ancient and modern city of Lima. Return to the hotel, night in Lima.
Pick up from the hotel approximately 2:30 am for the tour. Arrival at the Paracas Spa. Maritime Tour in the Ballestas Islands where we will appreciate wonderful marine fauna such as sea lions or wolves, Humboldt penguins, guano birds and with a little luck we will be introduced to the extroverted dolphins. We will also observe some rock formations that adorn our Peruvian coast. Next we went to visit the Huacachina Lagoon and learn about its legend, walk through the spa. Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the Lima airport to take a flight to Cusco. Reception and transfer to your chosen hotel in Cusco. Pick up from the hotel at 08:00 to go to the town of Pisaq (located 50 minutes from Cusco) where we will visit the archaeological complex located 20 minutes from the town, as well as visit the Typical Artisanal Market. We continue with the journey along the bank of the Vilcanota River, until we reach the town of Urubamba, where we will have an exquisite buffet lunch with a very varied food. After lunch we will go to Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca towns: its streets maintain the same layout as the Inca times and its main mountain houses wonderful constructions which we will tour. Our guide will remind us to take the train from Ollantaytambo towards Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu Pueblo); where you will be waiting to be taken to your hotel. The big day arrived. We will pick you up at your hotel to go to the bus station that will take us to the citadel of Machupicchu. Next, you will have a guided tour of this impressive place for 2 hours to 2:30 am, visiting the most important points such as the agricultural sector, religious sector, urban sector, the temple of the three windows, the sundial, among others; Then you will have free time to explore sectors of greatest interest on your own. After the tour we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where we will board the bus to the city of Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.
Pick up from your hotel at 04:30, and then travel in our transportation to the town of Mollepata, located 2 hours from Cusco in the lush valley of the Apurímac River. After a well-deserved breakfast to fill us with energy, we will continue our trip for another 1 hour towards Soraypampa (3900masl), after a brief rest, we will begin our way to the Humantay lagoon located at 4200mt 13779 feet, after climbing 1 hour and 40 min Approximately we can appreciate the wonderful place where we will have one of the most beautiful lagoons in Peru. After having enjoyed such a wonderful place and recharged with energy, we will return to our camp to enjoy our lunch with beautiful panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks. Later we will return to the city of Cusco at 6:00 p.m.
Pick up from the hotel at 08:00, to go to our first destination of the day, the salt mines in MARAS, a salt town where we will see more than 3,000 saline exploitation pools, which were already exploited since pre-Inca times and used as medium of economic exchange and values. Continuing about 7 km, to the southwest is Moray, a unique archaeological group of its kind. These are gigantic natural depressions or holes, which were used to build terraces or agricultural platforms around their contours. Return to Cusco at 2:30 p.m., free afternoon to visit some museums (optional).
Pick up from your hotel will be from 04:15 to 04:45 am. The trip will take approximately 2 hours to the town of Cusipata (3310 meters above sea level) where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast, 1 hour later, we will arrive at the town of Pulawasipata (4620 meters above sea level) from this point our adventure will begin, a 01h30 walk appreciating beautiful landscapes full of streams, mountains, snow-capped mountains, as well as the flora and fauna of the place. After this time we will arrive at our long-awaited destination Vinincunca or Cerro de Colores (5036 meters above sea level) having adequate time to capture this magical place in photographs and in our memories. In addition to this place we can appreciate the Apu Ausangate (6372 meters above sea level), a snow-capped mountain most revered by the Incas. After living this beautiful experience we will descend back to our car and then head to the restaurant for our lunch. Finally we will return to the city of Cusco arriving at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Pick up from the hotel at 06:30 to take you to the bus station to begin our trip to the city of Puno, lasting almost 10 hours with stops at places of great cultural interest on the Ruta del Sol or southern corridor of the highlands, visiting the temple of Andahuaylillas or Sistine Chapel of America, the Inka temple of Raqchi, the Raya pass at 4335 meters above sea level and the Inka Aymara museum of Pukara, arriving in the city of Puno on average at 5:00 p.m. and then being taken to your hotel and rest. Pick up from the hotel very early to take you to the Puno bus station to begin our trip to the city of Arequipa, lasting almost 6 hours. Arriving in Arequipa, you will be taken to your hotel and in the afternoon you will take the city tour. Arequipa is full of fine colonial-era buildings such as the wonderful Monastery of Santa Catalina, the most relevant attraction that this beautiful city has. In the center we can visit the beautiful Arequipeña Cathedral and the Museum of Andean Sanctuaries.
08.00 Pick up at the hotel and departure from Arequipa (2325 meters above sea level). We headed along the paved road towards Yura, crossing Pampa de Arrieros and Pampa Cañahuas, observing the incompatible vicuñas, llamas, alpacas and migratory birds, and then arriving towards Viscachani where we enjoyed a Coca tea, to acclimatize the body, for the height. In the morning (05.30) breakfast at the hotel, and then leave for Cruz del Cóndor where we will stay for a period of approximately 2 hours. Place where you can appreciate the depth of the Colca Canyon in its greatest dimension and also the flight of the Condor at a short distance.
On the way back we will observe archaeological remains, pre-Inca agricultural terraces and other panoramic views of the Colca Canyon. We will pass through the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma, Yanque, in the latter we will make a stop, where we will be able to observe its typical churches, its craft center, the typical clothing of its inhabitants, among others.
Arrival in Chivay to enjoy a delicious lunch. Finally we will return to Arequipa arriving at approximately 5:00 p.m.
