Choquekirao (Cuna de Oro) is considered the last Inca refuge that resisted the conquerors for decades. It is located at the top of the Apurimac canyon in a strategic geographical area between the mountains and the jungle, and surrounded by a fascinating landscape created by the Vilcabamba mountain range.
Pick up early from your hotel to begin the trip to the town of Cachora. On the way we will stop for a moment to appreciate the archaeological remains of Tarawasi from the bus, and then continue to the Cunyac bridge between the departments of Cusco and Apurimac, then we will pass through the district of Curawasi and Saywute to finally reach Cachora (10:00 approx). After breakfast we will continue with our walk towards Rosalinas beach (1550 m.a.s.l.), and then climb the very early slope towards Santa Rosa (2100 m.a.s.l.), place of our lunch, as this journey is the most difficult one we will do. in three hours, and then ascend to Maranpata (2850 m.a.s.l.) which is a gentler climb that during this journey you will be able to appreciate the entire path of the first day and the vegetation that exists in this place. Then we will travel a straight section towards Sunchupata which In this place we will have our camp and the walking time is two hours, from here it is one hour to Choquekirao.
Very early after breakfast we will go to Choquekirao, which is an hour's walk to receive the sunrise of Choquekirao. This site will be visited for three hours, always accompanied by the guide who will accurately explain about this important Inka refuge. At the indicated time we will begin the return to Sunchupata and begin to descend to Santa Rosa, place of our lunch, and then descend to Rosalinas beach, which is a one-hour stretch. Arriving at Rosalinas, we will go to the town of Chaquisqa, which is two hours away. Rosalinas and that we will camp in this place.

In the afternoon we will move to the medicinal thermal baths of Qonoq where we will rest for an hour and then continue to the city of Cusco where we will arrive at approximately 8:00 pm and the end of our trip.
