This 7-day itinerary takes you from Lima to Cusco, exploring the best of both destinations. In Lima, enjoy a City Tour highlighting sites such as the Plaza Mayor and the Catacombs. Then, in Cusco, explore the colonial city and visit archaeological sites such as Sacsayhuaman and Qoricancha. Discover the Sacred Valley with stops in Pisaq, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo before arriving in Aguas Calientes for Machu Picchu. Continue with excursions to Moray and the Salineras, as well as the impressive Humantay Lagoon. Finish with shopping in Cusco before returning to Lima. A complete and fascinating trip through Peru.
Upon arrival in Lima we will be waiting for you to be taken to your Hotel. In the afternoon 2:30 pm. We will take the City Tour in Lima in which we will have a panoramic view of the Pucllana Pyramid, then the Banco Central de Reservas Museum and its Treasures of Peru collection and we continue with the walking visit to the Plaza Mayor of Lima and surroundings and to finish the Catacombs of Lima return to your hotel, in short, we will get to know the ancient and modern city of Lima. Return to the hotel, night in Lima.
Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the Lima airport to take a flight to Cusco. Reception and transfer to your chosen hotel in Cusco. The rest of the morning will be used to take a rest and acclimatize. At an opportune time around 1:00 p.m. pick up from the hotel to take the City Tour, in which we will visit the cathedral basilica of Cusco and observe the colonial art from the 16th to the 18th century such as paintings and carved frames, made with Gold Leaf, Next we will go to the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun) and Convent of Santo Domingo. Then we will visit the archaeological remains that are located around the city of Cusco, which are: Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay. Return to Cusco and overnight.
Pick up from the hotel at 08:00 to go to the town of Pisaq (located 50 minutes from Cusco) where we will visit the archaeological complex located 20 minutes from the town, as well as visit the Typical Artisanal Market. We continue with the journey along the bank of the Vilcanota River, until we reach the town of Urubamba, where we will have an exquisite buffet lunch with a very varied food. After lunch we will go to Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca towns: its streets maintain the same layout as the Inca times and its main mountain houses wonderful constructions which we will tour.
Our guide will remind us to take the train from Ollantaytambo towards Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu Pueblo); where you will be waiting to be taken to your hotel. Overnight in Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu Pueblo).
The big day arrived. We will pick you up at your hotel to go to the bus station that will take us to the citadel of Machupicchu. Next, you will have a guided tour of this impressive place for 2 hours to 2:30 am, visiting the most important points such as the agricultural sector, religious sector, urban sector, the temple of the three windows, the sundial, among others; Then you will have free time to explore sectors of greatest interest on your own. After the tour we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where we will board the bus to the city of Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.
Pick up from the hotel at 08:00, to go to our first destination of the day, the salt mines in MARAS, a salt town where we will see more than 3,000 saline exploitation pools, which were already exploited since pre-Inca times and used as medium of economic exchange and values. Continuing about 7 km, to the southwest is Moray, a unique archaeological group of its kind. These are gigantic natural depressions or holes, which were used to build terraces or agricultural platforms around their contours. Return to Cusco at 2:30 p.m., free afternoon to visit some museums (optional).
Pick up from your hotel at 04:30, and then travel in our transportation to the town of Mollepata, located 2 hours from Cusco in the lush valley of the Apurímac River. After a well-deserved breakfast to fill us with energy, we will continue our trip for another 1 hour towards Soraypampa (3900masl), after a brief rest, we will begin our way to the Humantay lagoon located at 4200mt 13779 feet, after climbing 1 hour and 40 min Approximately we can appreciate the wonderful place where we will have one of the most beautiful lagoons in Peru. After having enjoyed such a wonderful place and recharged with energy, we will return to our camp to enjoy our lunch with beautiful panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks. Later we will return to the city of Cusco at 6:00 p.m.
This day, according to your flight schedule, can be used to shop for souvenirs and gifts, at the appropriate time, transferred to the airport for your return to Lima, 01:30 before the departure of your flight.
