Huchuy Qosqo

FIRST DAY: CUSCO – TAMBOMACHAY – HUCHUY QOSQO | ARCHAEOLOGICAL ENCLOSURE

Very early you will be picked up from your hotel, so we can take our bus to the archaeological complex of Tambomachay (3,700 meters above sea level), where we will begin our walk. During our tour we will be able to observe beautiful natural landscapes, some Andean communities and the Qoricocha lagoon, (which in Quechua means golden lagoon). Then we will arrive at the community of Pumamarca (3,980 meters above sea level), from here we will be able to appreciate the sacred valley of the Incas. We continue our walk ascending until we reach León Punku, in this place you can see mysterious rock formations. And finally we will arrive at the archaeological complex of Huchuy Qosqo located at 3,450 meters above sea level, it is in this place where we will have our camp.

SECOND DAY: HUCHUY QOSQO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES | PERU CUSCO

After our breakfast, we will have our guide through the archaeological complex of Huchuy Qosqo, we will immediately have free time to take photos and explore the place on our own, and then begin our walk that lasts approximately 2 hours. After a short tour we will have our respective lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon we will continue to Ollantaytambo, where we will board our train to the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu). Place where you spend the night in a Hotel.

THIRD DAY: MACHU PICCHU – RETURN TO CUSCO.

Very early in the morning, immediately after our breakfast, we will go to the bus station, where we will take our bus for the ascent to the great Inca city of Machu Picchu. Here we will have a guided tour of the most important areas of this great Inca city, such as the urban and agricultural area as well as the towers, ceremonial plazas, sacred fountain, the Intihuatana or sundial and terraces from where we will contemplate the Inca's domains. Our guide through the city of Machu Picchu will last approximately two hours, after which we will have free time to tour the rest of the city on our own and take the corresponding photos. After this free time we will descend again to the town of Aguas Calientes where we will have our corresponding lunch and thus be able to board the train back to the city of Cusco.
